All par 3 course that demands a lot of accuracy. Course has a moderate amount of elevation change and a ravine is in play on a few holes. First four holes are in the open while the remainder of the course is in the woods. A bit of a walk down the path between 4 & 5 and a much longer walk from 18 back to the start. A mix of concrete and compressed mulch tees.
Short, tight, wooded course designed for beginner to intermediate players. There are a lot of low hanging branches so there is a very low ceiling.
Beginner, family friendly course. Split in half by Crooked Creek. Walk left of basket 10 and through woods to find holes 11-17, return through woods to finish on hole 18.
Short, wooded college campus course. Hole #1 and #18 are in Patterson Court (open field surrounded by student housing (Greek Life)) and are the longest holes on the course. This course requires good accuracy on holes #2 - #17 (wooded area across the street between Patterson Ct Cir, Ridge Road, and N. Main Street).
Good mix of open and wooded shots. 2 sets of tees, look for red and/or yellow corners painted on the pads.
A classic Carolina woods course with a few open shots and a mix of par 3s, 4s and a finishing par 5. The course features a short pad layout option on the front 9 which is catered to beginners with 2 unique finishing holes separate from the normal course that takes players back to the parking lot. Several holes on the main course will receive longer tee options as time goes on to bring back the true "Beastway" layout for higher skilled players. There is a practice area in the field to the left of the recreation center with 3 practice baskets.

Good mix of hills, right and left curves, wooded and open holes. Water in play on 4 holes. Check sign for map (some holes hard to find).
Disc golf in the middle of a river! It's mostly flat with a bit of water around. Lots of thick underbrush, so stay on the fairway. Multiple tees on most holes. Still a work in progress. The 19th hole is located across the river in the grassy field in front of downtown.
It's called H!ghland H!lls for a reason. It's hilly and a great walk (plus the park is named Highland Municipal Park). Two miles in length. It's a great workout. Open from sunrise to sunset daily. Scorecards are in the mailbox by the first tee.
The front 9 is a park course weaving through the mostly open and mowed shared park amenities. You will have open throws, raised baskets, and even a true island hole (tournaments only). The second half of the course is your standard Carolina Piedmont woods course, longer than the front but secluded, safe, and quiet. Fairways have been widened and signage updated. No swimming for discs on hole 2 , island green is now approved tournaments only.

This is a short, technical course that will reward accuracy and punish carelessness. Fairways are tight, wooded, and require a variety of shots. This course will improve your game if you learn from it.
The course is carved out of the woods with most fairways open enough to put some zing on your tee shots. But if you end up in the woods, it can be difficult getting out and saving par - or bogey! The front nine is flat and easier than the back nine. Holes 4 and 7 are the most difficult on the front side. The back nine has some minor elevation changes and has arguably the three most difficult holes: 12, 16 and 17. The longest hole is #17 at 461'. Benches at every hole. Course features mulched fairways carved out of a heavily wooded area. Slight elevation changes, with mulch mounds accenting elevation. Each hole secluded from others. 1997 and 2012 World Championship site.

Difficult course, length and accuracy needed. The course is almost completely wooded, with lots of long holes with tight fairways. Lots of different shots are needed to succeed. Practice basket available. Signage at every hole, 7 trash cans, and 10 benches currently. Detailed hole maps are on every hole under the metal distance sign. See pictures for holes #4,6-18 for examples. There is a bathroom by hole #9 during spring/summer and directly next to hole #13 year round. If time is short, 12 holes loop back to the parking lot.

A course built primarily for 2012 worlds. It's short, tight, and technical but is in a unique and enjoyable setting. Don't let the distances and short par 4s fool you, this course can be tricky. There is a birdie on every hole if you hit your perfect line, however, the 288 MA1 World's field averaged just a little under 56 for a par 57 course. There are arrows under each basket pointing the direction to the next tee along with pink/magenta next tee minis on trees near baskets. Also, where possible, are minis indicating 100' and 200' to the basket being played.
Mostly open front 9, yet tight and technical, with OB affecting every hole. Back 9 is mostly wooded, with several very tight fairways. Elevation and variety. Detailed color tee signs with hole layouts and tips. 17 concrete tee pads, and 1 brick tee. Alt. pin positions on 6 holes, with gold tees on #12 and #18, and an alternate tee location for #7 marked on the asphalt of a nearby bridge. Hole #16 has 2 alt. positions. All roads OB, and an OB creek also comes into play for 4, 5, 6, and 7. Mandos in play on hole #16 (B pin location) and hole #18 (blue tee only).
Heavily wooded layout with tight fairways, moderate elevation, creeks and blind holes. One of the oldest and most played courses in the area.
Intermediate level permanent disc golf course designed for the 2015 Tim Selinske Masters tournament. This 18 hole course plays in and out of the woods bordering the Renaissance Gold course's holes 11-13. Baskets recently painted red to distinguish from the Gold course overlay.
Plays through a mature forest that is bordered on both sides by fields. A small stream runs through the middle of the course and is in play on all but 5 of the holes. There is quite a bit of elevation and a number of fast greens.
Beautiful hardwood forest with water coming into play on 8 holes. Kiosk marks hole 1, just past playground. Mando on #1, must navigate right of mando sign. Re-tee if missed. #2, must navigate left of mando sign on tree in front of tee. Re-tee if missed. #9, must navigate right of mando sign. Rethrow from last spot, drop zone flagged.

An almost totally open course with some occasional trees placed to alter tee shots on some of the holes. The course was designed to challenge players of all skill levels. The distance being a solid challenge on its own, this park has a moderate wind year round due to its elevation in the community. **PLEASE NOTE** Park Hours: March 8a-8p, April - October 8a-9p, November - February 9a-5p. Entrance to park is closed with a gate outside of park hours.
Dual tees marked with 6x6 poles (short = white, long = blue). Elevation changes make this a tough course on a hot day - bring water. Long tees are a challenge. Water fountain and drink dispensing machine at restroom on walk between basket 14 & tee 15.
Somewhat challenging. Has some tight holes but is mostly open or lightly wooded. Being accurate is more important than distance. A compact, short, but very fun course. Every hole is reachable if you can throw 375'. Maps inside recreation center.
2 water carries, a unique feature in Charlotte. The holes aren't too long but are very wooded/technical forcing accuracy. The Scrapyard is named after the fundraising efforts of the Charlotte Disc Golf Club President Ralph Vickers. Funds for this course were raised from donations of scrap metal.
Torma Town DGC is a combination of hilly open-air bomb shots combined with tight, wooded, twisting fairways. The course sits on 10 acres of woods and 10 acres of manicured rolling hills. Many signature holes and quite a unique course design!! Always litter free and well-manicured. The course is beautiful and fun but can be VERY CHALLENGING FOR BEGINNERS with water throws, challenging roughs, and some opportunities to lose discs. Have fun but play at your own risk! Home of the Waxhaw Elementary Disc Golf Team. The red tees are set up for an elementary aged student or a disc golf beginner. The 7 added blue tees are for intermediate players. This course is tucked away behind Waxhaw Elementary School. Please come when school is not in session, after 3pm on weekdays or anytime on the weekends.
This beautiful disc golf course is set around a lake on a college campus environment. It's long and mostly open and as you would assume, water comes into play on many holes. There are several picturesque holes. This is the course used in the USDGC, it's long and mean. Definitely not for beginners. Tees and baskets are available year-round, but the famous OB rope is only set up around the time of the USDGC.
