Boyd Hill

Boyd Hill utilizes a lovely park setting to offer recreational to professionals an enjoyable yet challenging disc golf experience. 18 holes beginning with some open ones and then upping the challenge by moving into the woods. Beautiful rolling terrain makes this a very popular course. Follow arrows on bottom of baskets to next tee otherwise you may end up wandering.

Brackett's Bluff

Private course, maintained by the Brackett family. Mostly wooded with tight fairways and a lot of variety and elevation change. Some of the most unique shots in the Charlotte area. There are long and short tees on holes 8 & 9 and 4 extra holes intertwined for a possible full round of 22 holes. Membership Required: 1/2 year membership (current date through Dec 2020) $50 to play all you like or $5 on select days for non members to play. Tees are a hybrid combination of stable-grid base with a rubber tee mat on top. Only open on Saturdays and Sundays. Tee off is from 8:00am to 2:00pm and rounds must be finished by 5:00pm. $6 to play all day on both courses. Season passes available. This challenging course will test every aspect of your disc golf skill. Field available for practice drives. Seven holes have multiple tee pads. Cost to enter park is $4/vehicle March through November. FREE to enter December through February.

Cornelius Road Park

All par 3 course that demands a lot of accuracy. Course has a moderate amount of elevation change and a ravine is in play on a few holes. First four holes are in the open while the remainder of the course is in the woods. A bit of a walk down the path between 4 & 5 and a much longer walk from 18 back to the start. A mix of concrete and compressed mulch tees.

Creekside Park at Creekside DGC

Short, tight, wooded course designed for beginner to intermediate players. There are a lot of low hanging branches so there is a very low ceiling.

Crooked Creek Crossing

Beginner, family friendly course. Split in half by Crooked Creek. Walk left of basket 10 and through woods to find holes 11-17, return through woods to finish on hole 18.

Davidson College

Short, wooded college campus course. Hole #1 and #18 are in Patterson Court (open field surrounded by student housing (Greek Life)) and are the longest holes on the course. This course requires good accuracy on holes #2 - #17 (wooded area across the street between Patterson Ct Cir, Ridge Road, and N. Main Street).

Dry Creek

Good mix of open and wooded shots. 2 sets of tees, look for red and/or yellow corners painted on the pads.

Eastway DGC

A classic Carolina woods course with a few open shots and a mix of par 3s, 4s and a finishing par 5. The course features a short pad layout option on the front 9 which is catered to beginners with 2 unique finishing holes separate from the normal course that takes players back to the parking lot. Several holes on the main course will receive longer tee options as time goes on to bring back the true "Beastway" layout for higher skilled players. There is a practice area in the field to the left of the recreation center with 3 practice baskets.

Frank Liske Park

New, fairly open course in Concord, NC. The challenge on this course is its length and contending with the wind. The park is open from 8am to 8pm in March, 8am to 9pm from April to October, and 9am to 5pm from November to February. Blue tee layout is 5,232 feet; gold tee layout is 7,670 feet.

Ft. Hamby Park

Nestled along a 2,000 acre lake in the foothills of the Appalachian mountains. Mostly wooded with lots of elevation. Part of the Blue Ridge Parkway Foundation/Kids in the park and nature trail disc golf experience. Open seasonally, $5 per car or $40 annual pass. No alcohol & pets must be kept on a leash at all times. Goat Island DGC

Disc golf in the middle of a river! It's mostly flat with a bit of water around. Lots of thick underbrush, so stay on the fairway. Multiple tees on most holes. Still a work in progress. The 19th hole is located across the river in the grassy field in front of downtown.

Highland Hills DGC

It's called H!ghland H!lls for a reason. It's hilly and a great walk (plus the park is named Highland Municipal Park). Two miles in length. It's a great workout. Open from sunrise to sunset daily. Scorecards are in the mailbox by the first tee.

No swimming for discs on hole 2 , island green is now approved tournaments only.

This is a short, technical course that will reward accuracy and punish carelessness. Fairways are tight, wooded, and require a variety of shots. This course will improve your game if you learn from it.

The front nine is flat and easier than the back nine. Holes 4 and 7 are the most difficult on the front side. The back nine has some minor elevation changes and has arguably the three most difficult holes: 12, 16 and 17. The longest hole is #17 at 461'. Benches at every hole. Course features mulched fairways carved out of a heavily wooded area. Slight elevation changes, with mulch mounds accenting elevation. Each hole secluded from others. 1997 and 2012 World Championship site.

A course built primarily for 2012 worlds. It's short, tight, and technical but is in a unique and enjoyable setting. Don't let the distances and short par 4s fool you, this course can be tricky. There is a birdie on every hole if you hit your perfect line, however, the 288 MA1 World's field averaged just a little under 56 for a par 57 course. There are arrows under each basket pointing the direction to the next tee along with pink/magenta next tee minis on trees near baskets. Also, where possible, are minis indicating 100' and 200' to the basket being played.

Rankin Lake DGC

1750 Rankin Lake Rd.

Mostly open front 9, yet tight and technical, with OB affecting every hole. Back 9 is mostly wooded, with several very tight fairways. Elevation and variety. Detailed color tee signs with hole layouts and tips. 17 concrete tee pads, and 1 brick tee. Alt. pin positions on 6 holes, with gold tees on #12 and #18, and an alternate tee location for #7 marked on the asphalt of a nearby bridge. Hole #16 has 2 alt. positions. All roads OB, and an OB creek also comes into play for 4, 5, 6, and 7. Mandos in play on hole #16 (B pin location) and hole #18 (blue tee only).

Heavily wooded layout with tight fairways, moderate elevation, creeks and blind holes. One of the oldest and most played courses in the area.

Robbins Park

8430 Westmoreland Road

Plays through a mature forest that is bordered on both sides by fields. A small stream runs through the middle of the course and is in play on all but 5 of the holes. There is quite a bit of elevation and a number of fast greens.

Robert L. Smith Park

Beautiful hardwood forest with water coming into play on 8 holes. Kiosk marks hole 1, just past playground. Mando on #1, must navigate right of mando sign. Re-tee if missed. #2, must navigate left of mando sign on tree in front of tee. Re-tee if missed. #9, must navigate right of mando sign. Rethrow from last spot, drop zone flagged.

White at Rolling Pines DGC

Town owned park that features over 70 acres of maintained landscaping. This disc golf course was designed and built for the professional/advanced golfer in mind. There are two sets of tees: gold and white. Gold (par) rates at 990. White (par) rates at 890. There are 9 benches around the course. The tee pads are dyed concrete - not painted. The concrete was dyed brown during mixing. This property/course is closed to disc golf for three weeks each year: the week prior (camping setup) to Merlefest, the week of (camping) and the week after (cleanup).

An almost totally open course with some occasional trees placed to alter tee shots on some of the holes. The course was designed to challenge players of all skill levels. The distance being a solid challenge on its own, this park has a moderate wind year round due to its elevation in the community. **PLEASE NOTE** Park Hours: March 8a-8p, April - October 8a-9p, November - February 9a-5p. Entrance to park is closed with a gate outside of park hours.

Stumpy Creek

Dual tees marked with 6x6 poles (short = white, long = blue). Elevation changes make this a tough course on a hot day - bring water. Long tees are a challenge. Water fountain and drink dispensing machine at restroom on walk between basket 14 & tee 15.

Sugaw Creek Park

Somewhat challenging. Has some tight holes but is mostly open or lightly wooded. Being accurate is more important than distance. A compact, short, but very fun course. Every hole is reachable if you can throw 375'. Maps inside recreation center.

The Horse Course

The Scrapyard at The Scrapyard

2 water carries, a unique feature in Charlotte. The holes aren't too long but are very wooded/technical forcing accuracy. The Scrapyard is named after the fundraising efforts of the Charlotte Disc Golf Club President Ralph Vickers. Funds for this course were raised from donations of scrap metal.

Torma Town

Torma Town DGC is a combination of hilly open-air bomb shots combined with tight, wooded, twisting fairways. The course sits on 10 acres of woods and 10 acres of manicured rolling hills. Many signature holes and quite a unique course design!! Always litter free and well-manicured. The course is beautiful and fun but can be VERY CHALLENGING FOR BEGINNERS with water throws, challenging roughs, and some opportunities to lose discs. Have fun but play at your own risk! Rules for Visiting: 1. The course is open from sunrise to sunset. 2. It cost $5 to play per day. You can pay at the kiosk (Cash, PayPal, Venmo Accepted) 3. Waxhaw DGC

Home of the Waxhaw Elementary Disc Golf Team. The red tees are set up for an elementary aged student or a disc golf beginner. The 7 added blue tees are for intermediate players. This course is tucked away behind Waxhaw Elementary School. Please come when school is not in session, after 3pm on weekdays or anytime on the weekends.

Winthrop Gold Course

This beautiful disc golf course is set around a lake on a college campus environment. It's long and mostly open and as you would assume, water comes into play on many holes. There are several picturesque holes. This is the course used in the USDGC, it's long and mean. Definitely not for beginners. Tees and baskets are available year-round, but the famous OB rope is only set up around the time of the USDGC.
